Adam Lepold

Veterinarian

Dr. Lepold grew up in Glen Ellyn, IL, a western suburb of Chicago, but has called Madison home since 2011. He received an undergraduate degree in Biology with special emphasis in Neurobiology from the

University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2015. After graduation, Dr. Lepold spent two years working as a full-time veterinary assistant in the UW Veterinary Hospital Soft Tissue and Orthopedic Surgery Ward before attending veterinary school at UW, graduating in 2021. During veterinary school, Dr. Lepold performed research on canine urinary tract infections and has published two papers on the topic.

Dr. Lepold completed his Primary Care Internship with the UW Veterinary Hospital in 2022. This year-long internship provided him with advanced training in feline and canine primary care medicine in addition to receiving additional training in multiple disciplines such as dentistry, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, and urgent care medicine. Dr. Lepold’s practice interests include orthopedics, pain management, dermatology, internal medicine, geriatric pet care, and dentistry. He is also Fear-Free certified in companion animal medicine.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Lepold enjoys playing competitive indoor and outdoor volleyball, hiking, camping, visiting national parks, and walking his Basset Hound/Labrador mix named Bella on local trails. Overall, Dr. Lepold is very excited to continue to serve his community at Animal Hospital of Verona. He understands the special role that companion animals play in the lives of his clients and takes great pride in being able to strengthen the human-animal bond through his role as a veterinarian.
